Evening of choral music by the Antiphon Chamber Choir, one of Oxford's finest amateur choirs.
Antiphon Chamber Choir are performing Lux Aeterna at St Michael and All Angels in Summertown on Saturday 17 October, from 7pm to 8pm. It's an hour-long evening of choral music, and they've described it as beautiful and uplifting, so it's the kind of thing that works well if you're just looking for a quiet night in with some singing.
If you haven't come across them before, the Antiphon Chamber Choir is one of Oxford's amateur choirs. They describe their mission as enriching communities through exceptional choral music, fostering a love of singing and performance while promoting artistic excellence and collaboration among musicians. It's a group of people who sing because they love it, and that usually comes through in the room.
They also run a Patronage Scheme for anyone who wants to get more involved, with the option to become a Patron or a Friend. At the moment they're trialling a voluntary suggested donation of £25 per project to help cover rising costs, so if you're a regular fan, that's one way to keep them going.
