World Science Day for Peace and Development gathering hosted by the NuroDeverce social group at Little Green in West Bridgford.
World Science Day for Peace and Development comes to Little Green on Sunday 15 November, hosted by the NuroDeverce social group. It's a day that sits on the calendar as a global marker, and this is Nottingham's way of joining in.
If you've come across NuroDeverce before, you'll know they're a bit of a broad church. They bring together people interested in science, technology, philosophy, ontology, secular humanism, freedom of speech, epistemology, and health and wellbeing. It's a wide-ranging mix, and that's the point — it's a group for anyone who likes to think and talk about how the world works, from the hard science of technology to the more abstract territory of philosophy and epistemology. The day is built around that same spirit: science as a tool for peace and development, and the conversations that grow around it.
And it's not all talking. NuroDeverce also organises country walks, nights out, and eating out together, so there's a social side to the group that goes beyond the big ideas. If you're into the intellectual side of things but also just fancy meeting people who share those interests, this is a good place to start.
