Vix Leyton: Chief Petty Officer

Vix Leyton brings her show Chief Petty Officer to Blend at Nottingham Contemporary on Saturday 7 November, presented by Den of Laughs. It follows a sell-out run at the Edinburgh Fringe earlier this year, so it's the first time the show has come to Nottingham since the Fringe run finished.

Leyton is a Sheffield-based comedian, writer, broadcaster and consumer commentator. Her live comedy has sold out at festivals across the UK, and she hosts The Comedy Arcade, a live podcast show. She's a regular on BBC Radio Sheffield and across national media, including BBC Morning Live, BBC Radio 4's You and Yours, LBC and Steph's Packed Lunch. She describes her stand-up as smart and idea-led, built around research and cultural rabbit holes.

Chief Petty Officer combines stand-up with a comedy lecture centred on 'the Hill to Die On' — a 'highly scientific' formula she devised to measure when pettiness tips into catastrophic commitment. It's the same show that played the Fringe, so it's the one she's been touring since the summer.

The show starts at 20:40, and tickets are £6.60.
