Stand-up show by Tom Davis, co-host of the podcast Wolf and Owl, touring with 'Spudgun'.
Tom Davis brings his stand-up show Spudgun to the Theatre Royal on Sunday 8 November, one of his dates as he takes the tour back out on the road. It's a solo night, with Davis as the only name on the bill, and he describes the set as freshly cooked observations on life's hot topics.
If you've come across him through his other work, you'll recognise him as the co-host of the podcast Wolf and Owl, which he does alongside Romesh Ranganathan. He's also a regular on screen: he stars in the BAFTA and Royal Television Society award-winning comedy Murder in Successville and the BBC One hit King Gary. There's his own special, Underdog, which you can watch on Sky and NOW TV, and he's popped up in Wonka, Paddington 2, The Curse, A League of Their Own on Sky, Live At The Apollo on the BBC, and The Jonathan Ross Show on ITV.
So, while Spudgun is a stand-up show, it's just one part of what he's been up to. The podcast is a good place to get a feel for how he works with Ranganathan, and the TV roles show him in a different light entirely. Spudgun is the live version, with the new material taking centre stage.
