Free creative sharing day for women from Nottingham and the Midlands to connect and share work in music, dance, poetry, photography, fashion and film.
This Is Me: Behind Closed Doors Creative Share runs at the Nottingham Playhouse on Saturday 17 October, from 1pm to 8pm. It's a creative sharing day run by the Behind Closed Doors project, and it brings together women from across Nottingham and the Midlands to connect, celebrate creativity and show work across a wide range of forms. You'll find music, dance, poetry, photography, fashion and film all in the same room, so it's less of a single performance and more of a gathering of different things happening at once.
The day is framed as a welcoming space where no finished piece or polished performance is required. The idea is that you can bring something that's still in progress, exchange ideas, explore artistic expression and meet other people working in similar veins. It's as much about the process as the result, so it's a good fit if you're more interested in the making than the presenting.
Every week we pick 🏆 the 5 best 🏆 things to do in Nottingham and send them to your inbox. Just one weekly email, no spam.

Taking part also feeds into the wider Behind Closed Doors project, which is building a creative directory of women across the region. The session is for ages 18 and over. It's held in the Neville Studio at the Playhouse, on Wellington Circus, NG1 5AF. Entry is free.
