Marketing and commercial leaders from engineering, manufacturing and technology sectors learn how to build brands buyers ask for by name.
ThinkTank Live is back in Nottingham on Wednesday 18 November, this time at Broadway Cinema in the Lace Market. It's a morning session, 9am to 1pm, run by Tank, the digital marketing and PR agency that's been based here since 2009 and specialises in the engineering, manufacturing and technology sectors. This one is titled Building a brand as strong as your product, and it's aimed at marketing and commercial leaders from those industries — particularly at companies that have built brands buyers ask for by name.
The session asks how buyers form their impression before they ever speak to a supplier: through search, an LLM, a community or someone else in the supply chain, and what it costs to be the less-known brand. It's a question that hits home if you're in a sector where a reputation for reliability is everything. The last ThinkTank Live drew an average rating of 9.3 out of 10, with 100% of attendees saying it met expectations.
Martin Stone, Managing Director at Tank, chairs the morning. He's joined by Beuford Smith, SEO Lead at Tank; Rebecca Galley, CEO at Tornado Wire; Mark Fensom, Executive Creative Director at The Boda Group; and Harry Thompson, Brand and Marketing Director at Iron and Brass Bed Company. There's a keynote from Cherish Reardon, Co-founder and Creative Director at Popsy Clothing, and Nancy Whittington-Coates, Marketing Director, also takes part. It's a broad mix of voices from across the marketing and commercial side of things, rather than just one perspective.
