Halloween party night with a confessional booth, a vodka-dispensing priest and pop music from The Pop Confessional, over 18s with costume.
The Pop Confessional bring their Seven Deadly Sins Halloween special to The Bodega on Friday 30 October, with doors opening at 23:00. It's a late one, with the night expected to run through until 03:00, so you'll want to have your costume sorted well before you head out.
The whole thing is built around the seven deadly sins — Pride, Greed, Lust, Envy, Gluttony, Wrath and Sloth. The setup starts with a confessional booth where you can confess your sins, and from there you head up to the dancefloor. At the altar, a vodka-dispensing priest serves up devilish drinks and guilty pop pleasures, and the music is handled by the venue's self-styled 'holy pop coven'. They draw from Madonna, Dua Lipa, Prince, Charli, Stefani, Dolly, Bruno Mars, Cher, The Human League and more, so it's a wide-ranging pop set rather than a single era or sound. Costume is mandatory, and entry is restricted to over-18s.
The Bodega is a well-known spot among locals and students as one of Nottingham's best places to party and listen to live music, and it's been at the forefront of the Midlands scene for more than two and a half decades. It's picked up some recognition recently, too: Spirit of the Scene at the Music Week Awards 2025 and Grassroots Champion at the Live Awards 2025. It's at 23 Pelham Street, NG1 2ED, right in the city centre.

Doors open at 23:00 and it's expected to wrap up around 03:00. Earlybird tickets were £6.00 including the booking fee, and the second release was £10.00, both for entry before midnight — both are now sold out. Since it's a Halloween special, make sure you've got your costume ready before you head down.
