Sing It Bold Community Gospel Choir Winter Concert

Sing It Bold Community Gospel Choir are bringing their winter concert to St Mary's Church on Saturday 12 December, with the performance starting at 14:00. It's a matinee, so it's one of those afternoon things that doesn't eat into your whole day.

The choir's whole thing is live gospel for the festive season, and they describe it as soulful harmonies, powerful voices and uplifting vibes. What sets them apart, though, is how they handle the music: they do their own arrangements and reimagine songs in their own style, which they call the 'SIB style'. So rather than just singing things as they are, they put their own spin on the set.

The concert is presented by BOLD Music and Production LTD, and the choir is the only act on the bill. If you're not familiar with them, the 'community' part of the name is a good clue to the kind of group they are — a local choir rather than a touring professional outfit.

Tickets go from free up to £14.79, and you get them through Eventbrite. The venue is St Mary's Church on High Pavement in the city centre, NG1 1HN, so it's easy enough to get to on foot if you're coming from town. The concert is on Saturday 12 December, starting at 14:00.
