Strictly 18+ Halloween costume party with a multicultural DJ line-up of bashment, soca, afrobeats, amapiano, hip-hop and RnB.
Scared Beyond Notts takes over The Nest on Thursday 29 October, Nottingham's biggest urban Halloween party. It's an 18+ night, and fancy dress is the order of the evening. If you're putting in the effort, there's a £50 prize for the best-dressed male and another £50 for the best-dressed female, and a professional videographer and photographer will be on the door to catch everyone in costume.
On the decks is DJ JB The Captain, with mystery artists to be announced later. The night is built around a multicultural DJ line-up playing bashment, soca, afrobeats, amapiano, hip-hop and RnB, so the music pulls from a few different scenes rather than sticking to one. Outworks bills it as the city's best costume event, and with the prize money on the table, it's the kind of night where people actually bother with the fancy dress rather than just turning up in a t-shirt.

There are a few things to keep in mind before you head out. The dress code rules out tracksuits, hoodies, hats and chains, so if you're not in costume, make sure you're not wearing any of those. You'll also need a physical government ID to get in, so don't rely on a photo on your phone. The night runs from 21:00 until 02:00, and tickets are £15.95 including fees, which works out to about £14.50 face value. The Nest is on Iremonger Road, NG2 3HU.
