Family drone light show bringing Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer to life with 600 LED drones, followed by fairground rides and Christmas activities.
Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer: The Drone Light Show comes to Nottingham Racecourse on Saturday 28 November, with the site open from 2:00pm to 8:00pm. The drone show itself is expected to start between 16:45 and 17:00, so you'll want to be in place before the light fades. It's an open-air, standing event, and the whole thing is presented by Immersive Drone Light Shows and powered by Fatsoma.
The show takes the story of Rudolph and tells it with a swarm of 600 LED drones that turn the night sky into a moving canvas, set to a cinematic score. It's narrated and runs for 25 to 30 minutes. The story is a long-running TV holiday hit in the US, and this is its first staging in the UK. The afternoon is built around more than just the drones, too: there are fairground rides, Christmas activities, face painting and food stalls to keep you going until the main event starts.

Tickets range from free to £25.29, and there's a complimentary carer's ticket available at the gate with a valid Carer's ID. Blue Light and student discounts also apply. Because it's outdoors, the weather plays a part: if it's too bad for the show to go ahead, it'll be rescheduled to a new date at the same venue, with 1 December 2026 listed as the contingency date. The venue is Nottingham Racecourse, Colwick Park, Colwick Rd, Nottingham NG2 4BE.
