Beginner workshop led by Kay Jay Clay to learn polymer clay slab building and make two pairs of earrings.
Kay Jay Clay is running a polymer clay earring workshop at Handmade Nottingham on Sunday 29 November, from 1 pm to 3 pm. It's a two-hour session in the city centre, and it's open to anyone who wants to make their own earrings from scratch.
If you've never worked with polymer clay before, the first part of the afternoon is for you. You'll get to know the material and learn the slab building technique — the process of rolling and layering the clay to create patterns and shapes before cutting them into the final forms. From there, you'll make two pairs of your own unique earrings to take home, so you leave with something you can actually wear.
The whole thing is led by Kay Jay Clay, who'll be guiding you through the steps. It's a beginner-friendly setup, so you don't need any prior experience to get stuck in.
