League One football match as Notts County welcome Plymouth Argyle to Meadow Lane.
Notts County take on Plymouth Argyle at Meadow Lane on Saturday 12 December, kick-off at 3pm. It's a League One clash with the visitors coming up from the south coast to Nottingham.
If you're new to the ground, Meadow Lane has been County's home since 1910, and the club itself is the world's oldest professional football club. The stadium holds 20,229, though it's seen a record 47,310 when York City won 1-0 here on 12 March 1955. There's a small stream, Tinker's Leen, running under the Jimmy Sirrel Stand; the previous stand was built straddling it in 1926 and later culverted, which explains why the current one is anchored at the front and overhangs the pavement behind.
Matchdays in the city are split between the two Nottingham clubs, with Notts County at Meadow Lane and Nottingham Forest at The City Ground. If you're coming from the station, you'll find the pre-match atmosphere at The Nest, a short stroll away with a huge bar area, the city's biggest screen and street food traders.
