League One football match as Notts County, the world's oldest professional club, welcome Cambridge United to Meadow Lane.
Notts County welcome Cambridge United to Meadow Lane on Saturday 26 December, kick-off at 3pm. It's a League One clash on Boxing Day, and for Cambridge, it's their first season back in the third tier since 2024-25 following promotion from League Two. This is their 115th campaign overall.
If you're not familiar with the home side, Notts County is the world's oldest professional football club, founded in 1862. They're known as 'The Magpies' for their black and white kit, and they won the FA Cup back in 1894. They've played at Meadow Lane, just south of the city centre, since 1910. The ground holds 20,229 and is one of Nottingham's two home venues, alongside Forest's City Ground.
If you want to make a day of it, there's plenty to do before the game. The Nest, the club's state-of-the-art fanzone on Iremonger Road, has a huge bar, the biggest screen in the city, and street food traders, with free entry. For those with younger ones in tow, the Meadow Lane Sports Bar in the Family Stand has activities for juniors.
