League One football match as Notts County, the oldest professional football club, welcome AFC Wimbledon to Meadow Lane.
Notts County welcome AFC Wimbledon to Meadow Lane on Tuesday 1 December, a League One clash that kicks off at 19:45. It's a mid-week fixture, so it'll be a night game under the lights south of the city centre.
For those who don't know the ground, Notts County is the world's oldest professional football club, founded back in 1862. They're known as 'The Magpies' for their black and white kit, and they've played at Meadow Lane since 1910. Fans call it the home of the oldest football league club. The ground holds 19,588, and its record attendance was 47,310 when they lost 0-1 to York City in March 1955. There's a small stream, Tinker's Leen, that runs right under the Jimmy Sirrel Stand, which replaced a stand built straddling it in 1926. The stadium is rounded off by the Nest, the club's state-of-the-art fanzone, and the Meadow Lane Sports Bar in the Family Stand.
