Facilitated peer-support group for people who have experienced spiritual awakening, with a guided meditation, small-group sharing and a closing grounding meditation.
Chloe is bringing the Nottingham Spiritual Awakening Sharing Circle & Peer Support Group to the Natural Wellness Centre on Tuesday 27 October, from 18:30. It's a facilitated peer-support group rather than a therapy session, and it's run as a monthly in-person gathering here in the city.
The evening is designed for people who have experienced spiritual awakening, spiritual emergence, spiritual emergency or other deeply transformative experiences. It opens with a short guided meditation, followed by sharing in smaller groups, and closes with a grounding meditation. Sharing is by invitation, never by obligation, so you can listen as much as you like without feeling pressured to speak.
Chloe facilitates the group. Her own spontaneous awakening came while she was healing from complex trauma, which led her to leave her previous life and undertake three years of Theravada Buddhist monastic training. She draws on Internal Family Systems, somatic and transpersonal therapies, family constellations, holotropic breathwork and shamanic practices. She discovered the model through Jessica Corneille's Spiritual Awakening Sharing Circle & Peer Support Group, which runs through the Psychedelic Society in London, and is now bringing it to Nottingham.
