Stand-up show 'IDEASMAN' by Welsh comedian Mike Bubbins, part of his 25-date tour, recommended for ages 16 and over.
Mike Bubbins brings his stand-up show IDEASMAN to the Theatre Royal on Sunday 7 March 2027. It's part of a 25-date tour, and the Nottingham stop is in the Main Auditorium.
If you haven't come across him yet, Bubbins is a Welsh comedian, actor, writer and broadcaster. He's the creator, co-writer and star of the BBC sitcom Mammoth, whose first series was the biggest debut sitcom on BBC2 in five years. He's also one of the hosts of The Socially Distant Sports Bar, a podcast that launched during the 2020 lockdown and has run for over five years and almost 300 episodes.
There's a bit of a sporting thread to his background, too: he's a former professional rugby player, coach and PE teacher. And for a completely different kind of stage, he was once a finalist in the European Elvis Tribute Act Championship. The critics have been kind, with The Times and Radio Times calling him 'terrific' and The Telegraph describing him as 'delightfully silly'.
