Free hands-on cooking and food-learning session run by Thermomix for children, with parents and carers, to explore seasonal ingredients.
Little Chefs Educational Kitchen is back at the Thermomix Nottingham Studio on Tuesday 27 October, from 15:30 to 17:00. It's a free, hands-on cooking and food-learning session run by Thermomix, and the whole thing is designed to get children curious and excited about real food.
Each month the group explores different seasonal ingredients and discovers where food comes from, working with a Thermomix in the kitchen. The children see, touch, smell, taste and cook with a colourful variety of foods, weighing, measuring, mixing and preparing together, while learning about healthy choices and hydration. The recipes and activities change with the seasons, and the children eat what they've made. It's as much about the process as the result, so expect a bit of a mess and a lot of tasting.
Every week we pick 🏆 the 5 best 🏆 things to do in Nottingham and send them to your inbox. Just one weekly email, no spam.

It's a session for children, but it's not a drop-off: parents and carers must stay with their children throughout. The session runs for an hour and a half, so it's a good length for an after-school activity on a Tuesday afternoon. Entry is free, and places are booked through Eventbrite. You'll find it at the Thermomix Nottingham Studio / Attenborough Studio, 1 Nottingham Road, Beeston, NG9 6DN, Nottingham.
