Halloween Kate Bush night at Rough Trade Nottingham with a full playback of 'Hounds of Love' and a music quiz, with fancy dress encouraged.
Rough Trade Nottingham is hosting a Kate Bush special on Thursday 29 October, a listening party and music quiz built around Hounds of Love. It's billed as a Halloween special, and the night does two things: a full playback of the album, followed by an ultimate Kate Bush quiz. Fancy dress is encouraged, so if you've got a costume that fits the mood, this is your excuse to wear it.
The album itself is a double-sided affair, and hearing it through from start to finish in a room with other people is a different experience from putting it on at home. The first half is the more pop-leaning side, the second the more atmospheric, experimental one, and the playback lets both sides play out in one go. After that, the quiz takes over, with a £30 voucher for the winner.

Rough Trade is presenting the night, and the room holds 150 people, so it's a decent-sized crowd without feeling like a hall. It's for ages 16 and over, and it kicks off at 6pm at Rough Trade Nottingham, 5 Broad Street, NG1 3AJ. Tickets start from £5.03.
