Stand-up debut show 'Ark At She' by Bristol comedian Laura Newman, about adulthood, womanhood and parenthood, recommended for ages 16 and over.
Laura Newman brings her debut stand-up show, Ark At She, to the Theatre Royal in Nottingham on Sunday 17 January 2027. It's her first full show, and it's built around the three things that seem to be taking up most of her head space: adulthood, womanhood and parenthood. If you've spent any time on social media, you might already know her — she's a Bristol comedian who's built a following of millions online, and this is the first time she's putting that voice into a proper stage show.
Ark At She is described as observational comedy about the trials and tribulations of those three things, and the way she talks about them is sharp, warm and gloriously unfiltered. It's the kind of set that doesn't shy away from the messy bits, delivered with brutal honesty and razor-sharp wit. It's recommended for ages 16 and over, so it's definitely more of an adult night out than a family affair, even with parenthood as one of the main themes.
The night is split into two halves. The first set runs from 7:30pm to 8:15pm, followed by a 20-minute interval to stretch your legs and grab a drink, before the second set picks up at 8:35pm and runs until 9:20pm. Doors open at 6:30pm, so you've got plenty of time to get settled before she takes the stage.

Tickets are £34 across the board, whether you're in the stalls, the dress circle, the upper circle or the balcony, and the show is in the main auditorium. It's a Sunday night, so if you're planning on a few drinks at the bar, you might want to keep that in mind before you commit to the early start on Monday morning.
