Glasgow comedian Larry Dean brings his stand-up show 'Hellbent', a riotous hour about refusing to grow up, to Nottingham Playhouse.
Larry Dean brings his show Hellbent to Nottingham Playhouse on Monday 26 October, with the curtain going up at 7:30pm. Dean is a Glasgow-based comedian who goes by the name 'The Gallus Glaswegian Goon', and Hellbent is a riotous hour about refusing to grow up. The set follows a recently married, emotionally feral character, and it leans on Dean's sharp observational humour and engaging stage presence.
If you've come across him before, you'll know the specific way he works. He's built a reputation for his use of accents, jaunty angular poses and stern gazes, and critics have pointed to those as the things that set him apart. He's one of Scotland's notable voices on the contemporary comedy circuit, and he's worked across a fair few different formats: you'll have seen him on SNL, Live at the Apollo, QI and The Royal Variety Performance.
