Improvisational comedy show in which Kiell Smith-Bynoe and a cast of UK improvisers build a night of comedy from the audience's stories.
Kiell Smith-Bynoe brings his improv comedy show Kool Story Bro to Nottingham Playhouse on Saturday 24 October, 19:30. It's a rescheduled date, moved from 8 October, and runs for two hours. If you've seen him on Ghosts, Taskmaster, Stath Lets Flats, Man Like Mobeen or Enterprice, you'll recognise the face; this is him leading a night of improv rather than a scripted role.
The show is built on stories from the room. It opens with the audience sharing their own, and from there, a cast of UK improvisers builds a night of comedy around them in real time. Every night also features a surprise celebrity guest. Past guests have included Amelia Dimoldenberg, Lily Allen, Jamie Demitriou, Adam Buxton, Mo Gilligan, Loly Adefope and Nish Kumar, and the improvisers' list has run through Emma Sidi, Lola-Rose Maxwell, Graham Dickson, Lara Ricote, Janine Harouni, Nic Sampson, Brendan Murphy and Rob Gilbert. Because the starting material comes from the crowd, no two nights are the same.
Kool Story Bro is returning after a national tour and sold-out runs across London and the Edinburgh Fringe, and this run brings new audience stories from across the UK. The whole thing is recommended for ages 16 and over.
