An improvised comedy show featuring Jedi, jokes and Jawas, presented by Missimp Improv Comedy as part of the Nottingham Comedy Festival 2026.
Missimp Improv Comedy bring It's a Trap! to The Malt Cross on Saturday 7 November, as part of the Nottingham Comedy Festival 2026. It's an improvised Star Wars show, which they describe as "hilarious unscripted tales from a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away"—a mix of Jedi, jokes and Jawas. The whole thing is made up on the spot, so no two nights are the same.
It's not a brand-new piece, either. It's a Trap! was a Best Improv Show finalist at the Leicester Comedy Festival 2022 and has picked up a fair bit of praise along the way. Notts Comedy Review called it "the bright centre of the universe", The Metro dubbed them "Improv Heroes", and Reviews Hub described it as "a comedic Force to be reckoned with".
Behind it is Missimp, the longest continuously running improvised theatre company outside of London, which celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2018. They've been at this for a long time, and this is one of the shows they're bringing to the festival.
