Interactive eighties game show tribute act where teams battle for ownership of hexagons, presented by Missimp Improv Comedy as part of the Nottingham Comedy Festival.
Mockbusters play The Malt Cross on Saturday 31st October, as part of the Nottingham Comedy Festival 2026. It's presented by Missimp Improv Comedy, and the whole thing is built around audience suggestions: teams battle for ownership of the coveted hexagons, racing across the board by playing a string of short-form games while the hosts decide who takes home the title of Mockbusters Champion. The organisers describe it as fast-paced, interactive and, they insist, not at all shambolic.
If that sounds familiar, it's because it is. Mockbusters bills itself as Nottingham's premier eighties young adult game show format rip-off and tribute act, so the whole night is a nod to those old-school youth telly competitions. The game is improvised on the night, and the audience gets to feed in the suggestions that shape the games, so what happens depends on who's in the room. It's recommended for ages 18 and over.
