Free professional development day for practice nurses, nursing associates, ACPs and HCAs working in primary care across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire.
Notts Primary Care Training is running the General Practice Nurse Conference at Eastwood Hall on Tuesday 3 November, a free professional development day for practice nurses, nursing associates, ACPs and HCAs working in primary care across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire. It's a full day, running from 9:00 to 16:30, and you'll get a certificate of attendance afterwards.
The agenda is built from the topics most requested by attendees in previous feedback, so it hits the clinical ground that comes up day in, day out: contraception, smear audits, menopause and HRT, hypertension, diabetes and infection control. Alongside those, there are sessions on leadership and wellbeing, and the day finishes with pharmaceutical partners, local charities and services in the room. It's designed for the people on the front line of primary care, and the topics are the ones that actually matter in a busy practice.
This is part of Notts Primary Care's wider development offer, which includes a free Development Loyalty Card and a Training Needs Analysis tool to help staff figure out their priority learning needs. The organisers are already planning a fifth edition, so this is one of several ways they're supporting nursing staff across the region.
