Over-18s only immersive horror night in which visitors walk the Victorian gaol, witness a 1844 murder trial and face jump scares and live actors.
The National Justice Museum is running Dead Man Walking from Thursday 22 to Friday 30 October, a late-night horror experience that takes you through the halls of a real Victorian gaol after dark. The museum is on High Pavement in Nottingham, a Grade II* listed building, and this particular run is strictly for over-18s.
The night starts by taking you back to 1844, where you step into an authentic courtroom to witness the conclusion of the 'murder trial of the century'. From there, you descend into the cold stone depths of the prison, where desperate prisoners and unspeakable secrets are waiting. It's an immersive horror setup with live actors, jump scares, twisted tales, disturbing encounters, flashing lights and an unhinged Gaoler on hand to see you through. The museum advises that it isn't recommended for pregnant visitors or anyone of a nervous disposition.
