Free korfball session for women, trans and non-binary University of Nottingham students, part of the UoN Empower Week.
Empower x Korfball is running at the Jubilee Sports Centre on Friday 23 October, from 4:00 to 5:00pm. It's a korfball session, and it's part of Empower Week, a week of sports, exercise and fun run by University of Nottingham Sport.
If you've never come across korfball, it's a mixed-gender sport that shares a bit of DNA with netball and basketball. The session is open to all women, trans and non-binary identifying students at the University of Nottingham, so it's a chance to get involved regardless of whether you've played before.
There's a bit of a reward for showing up, too. Anyone who takes part can collect a free Empower tote bag for attending one event, and if you make it to three, you get a free Empower t-shirt. It's a nice way to get something out of it beyond the hour on the court, and it gives you a reason to stick with the rest of the week's programme if you fancy more than just one session.
