Nottingham's biggest pop-culture event with celebrity guests, cosplay, film sets and immersive attractions at the Motorpoint Arena.
EM-Con is back at Motorpoint Arena Nottingham on Saturday 31 July, running through to Sunday 1 August. It's a two-day pop-culture event that brings celebrity guests, cosplay, and film sets under one roof in the Lace Market.
The 2027 edition follows the same format as previous years: celebrity guests to meet, immersive attractions to walk through, and the chance to chat with sci-fi stars and fantasy characters. It's a big tent for anyone into film, gaming, and comics, with the cosplay side of things usually taking up a fair chunk of the floor. If you've been to before, you'll know the drill — guests, sets, and a good few hours of wandering around. If it's your first time, it's basically a pop-culture convention in the heart of the city.
Tickets went on sale on Friday 18 September 2026 at 9:00am, with a limit of six per customer. There's a bag policy in place, so it's worth checking that before you head in. The event opens at 10:00 on Saturday and runs until 17:00 on Sunday, giving you two full days to work your way through the guests and attractions.
