Stand-up show in which Ed Byrne airs his grievances with a world hell-bent on irritating us all.
Ed Byrne brings his latest show, No Dramas, to Nottingham Playhouse on Thursday 20 May 2027. It's a stand-up set that runs for 110 minutes, so you're getting nearly two hours of him on stage.
The title tells you where he's coming from. No Dramas follows Ed as a man who just wants to live a life free of hassles or drama — he feels he's earned it, but the world has other plans. He's billed himself as the 'conquistador of petty gripes', and the show is built around him airing those grievances with a world hell-bent on irritating us all. It's that kind of observational comedy that works because it's so recognisable: the small, everyday things that get under your skin and the frustration of trying to keep a quiet life when everything seems designed to get in the way.
It's not a new show, either. It's already been out on the road and has picked up widespread critical acclaim along the way, with reviewers calling it hilarious, masterful and a must-see, and awarding it five stars across the board. If you've seen his previous work, this is the same voice you'll expect — the dry, measured way he takes a tiny annoyance and pulls it apart until it's the only thing in the room.

On the practical side, it's a 7.30pm start at the Playhouse on Wellington Circus, NG1 5AF. Standard tickets are £30.50, with a non-refundable £2.50 booking fee on top. One thing to keep in mind is that it's recommended for ages 16 and over, so it's not one to bring the kids along to.
