Hands-on play dough session for children aged 2 to 7 to build their own miniature fairy garden, with refreshments for the adults.
Dolly's Little Makers are back with a new session at Dollys Gedling on Thursday 5 November, this time around a 'Magical Play Dough Fairy Gardens' theme. It's a hands-on craft morning for the smaller ones, with each child working with play dough and a scattering of fairy-inspired treasures — flowers, mushrooms, gems, butterflies and a little fairy — to build their own miniature fairy world. There's plenty of sensory play along the way, and the whole thing runs for an hour and a half.
Emma, who goes by the title Dollys Party Organiser & General Dogsbody, describes the sessions as messy, sensory and creative, and that's a fair summary: it's about getting stuck in rather than following a strict pattern. The age range is 2 to 7, so it works for toddlers and primary-school kids alike. One adult per child is welcome to stay, and there's tea and coffee for the grown-ups and biscuits for the little makers, which makes it a bit more of a social morning than a drop-and-run.

It runs from 10:00am to 11:30am, with doors open from 9:55am, so you've got a few minutes to get settled before things kick off. The venue is Dollys Gedling, 62 Main Road, Gedling NG4 3HL, in Nottingham. Tickets are £15 per child, and that covers all the materials, the refreshments, and the child's creation to take home. Advance booking is recommended.
