Winter craft fair with over 40 independent makers of ceramics, textiles, jewellery, print and homeware across two floors, with a free admission launch evening.
Craft Fair Contemporary returns to Nottingham Contemporary from Friday 4 to Sunday 6 December, taking over The Space and Studio 2. It's one of four fairs the gallery stages each year, and this winter edition sits within their wider Festive Craft Fair. The first one launched back in 2011, and since then it's become a bit of a staple on the gallery's calendar, usually drawing around 4,000 visitors over the three-day weekend.
Across two floors, you'll find more than 40 makers showcasing ceramics, textiles, jewellery and homeware. The focus is on quality and original design, with a mix of East Midlands exhibitors and national names. The programme has grown over the years, too: a Print Fair was added in 2020, a Summer Craft Fair in 2023, and a Food & Home Fair in 2025, so this winter one is part of a fairly busy run of events.

The opening night is the one that sets it apart from the rest of the weekend. On Friday 4 December, the fair launches from 5pm to 8pm, with live music, food and drink on the go and the gallery staying open late. The bar runs until 9pm, so you can hang around after the main event. After that, it's a more straightforward fair: Saturday 5 December from 10am to 5pm, and Sunday 6 December from 11am to 4pm. Admission is free throughout, and the whole thing is held at Nottingham Contemporary, NG1 2GB.
