CPD-accredited, tutor-led workplace training on bipolar disorder delivered onsite by The Bipolar Lift CIC to groups of up to 12 delegates.
The Bipolar Lift are running a CPD-accredited bipolar awareness and mental health training session in Nottingham on Sunday 25 October, from 09:30 for three hours. It's not a public talk or a drop-in workshop; it's a tutor-led, interactive session delivered onsite at your own premises for groups of up to 12 people, so it's built for teams rather than individuals. Every delegate gets a CPD certificate on completion.
The training is run by The Bipolar Lift, an award-winning Nottingham-based Community Interest Company founded and led by Imran Akram FIOL, FRSA, a Fellow of the Institute of Leadership, a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and an Industry Fellow at Nottingham Trent University. They describe themselves as the only dedicated bipolar peer support organisation in Nottingham, and this as the only CPD-accredited bipolar-specific workplace training in the East Midlands. The session is led by people with genuine lived experience of bipolar disorder rather than being taught from a textbook.
There's a stark reason for it: over 1 million people in the UK live with bipolar disorder, and the average wait for a correct diagnosis is 9.5 years. That gap is what this training is meant to help close, giving teams the practical understanding to spot the signs and support colleagues properly.
