Stand-up night of Comedy Club October at The Garage in Chilwell, with Ben Norris on the bill, Rob Rouse opening and Henry Michael in the room.
Comedy Club October is at The Garage in Chilwell on Friday 30 October, with Ben Norris topping the bill. He's joined by Rob Rouse, who opens the night, and Henry Michael, with Alex Hylton as compere to keep the evening moving. It's a full line-up, so there's plenty of comedy to get through before the night wraps up.
One of the names on the bill is a bit of a local fixture: Henry Michael is an NHS doctor, and he's a regular at the club. The Garage itself is run in collaboration with Funhouse Comedy, and it's built its reputation on a mix of the UK's touring comedy circuit and acts who've worked their way up through the clubs. Over the years, the room has hosted comedians who've appeared on Mock the Week, Have I Got News For You, Live at the Apollo, Never Mind the Buzzcocks, Upstart Crow, 8 Out Of Ten Cats, Celebrity Juice and Coronation Street, many of whom have gone on to tour the biggest arenas across the UK.
If you're planning to make an evening of it, there's a bit more to the place than just the comedy. The bar stocks local real ales, craft beers, lagers, wines, spirits and soft drinks, and street food is served between 7pm and 9pm, so you can eat before the show starts. The wider estate is described as Nottingham's fastest-growing destination, home to the county's biggest weekly market alongside comedy, live music, street food, sports screenings, beer festivals and club nights.

Doors open at 7pm, and the show starts at 8.15pm, so you've got a good window to grab a drink and some food before the first act takes the stage. Tickets start from £11.
