Christmas wine and cheeseboard evening run by the Notts Derby Local Wine School at Broadway on Broad Street.
Broadway hosts a Christmas wine and cheeseboard evening on Friday 4 December, run by Notts Derby Local Wine School. It's exactly what it sounds like: wine and a cheeseboard, with the two paired together throughout the night. The evening kicks off at 7:00pm, and the venue is Broadway on Broad Street, NG1 3AL, right in the city centre.
Behind the night is Notts Derby Local Wine School, a local, independent wine education company based in Nottingham and Derby and run by Debbie Ault. The school is part of the UK's leading provider of professional WSET courses and belongs to the Local Wine School Network, which is the world's fastest-growing network of independent wine schools. That means while it's a local operation, it's backed by a wider network of wine education.
Their events are led by friendly wine tutors and described as relaxed, informal and open to everyone. You don't need any previous wine-tasting experience to join in, so it works as well for someone who's never thought about wine before as it does for someone who already knows their way around a bottle. The whole point is to keep it approachable rather than academic.
