Stand-up show by Geordie comedian Chris Ramsey, billed as the stuff he can't say on his podcast 'Shagged. Married. Annoyed'.
Chris Ramsey brings his stand-up show Here Man to the Royal Concert Hall on Saturday 14 November, part of a limited run of autumn dates that follow a spring tour that sold out quickly. It's a solo night, with Ramsey as the only name on the bill.
If you've followed his work, you'll know him as a Geordie stand-up and TV personality who first started on the comedy circuit back in 2007. He built his following through panel shows like 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown and Celebrity Juice, and stand-up on Russell Howard's Good News and Live At The Apollo. He also acted in the BBC Two sitcom Hebburn. These days he co-hosts the weekly marital podcast Shagged. Married. Annoyed with his wife Rosie Ramsey, and has presented Children in Need as well as appearing on Strictly Come Dancing and Taskmaster.
Here Man is the show in which he tells audiences all the stuff he can't say on the podcast, so it's the live counterpart to the conversations he has with Rosie. The critics have been generous: GQ called him 'frighteningly talented', the Evening Standard described him as 'a brilliantly engaging natural storyteller', and The Guardian put him down as 'stand-up gold'.
