One-off cheese and wine pairing tasting led by Michael Broadbent at Broadway, exploring how different cheeses and wines pair.
Local Wine School is running a charcuterie, cheese and wine tasting at Broadway on Friday 23 October, a two-hour session that kicks off at 7:00pm. It's a one-off evening rather than a recurring class, so it's a good one to drop into even if you're not usually one for a course.
The whole night is led by Michael Broadbent, and the focus is on how different cheeses and wines pair together. You'll work through a few classic combinations: Brie with Champagne, Stilton with Port, and blue cheese with Sauternes. The idea is to walk away knowing how to build your own cheese board with a bit more confidence, rather than just guessing and hoping for the best.
Local Wine School is part of the Local Wine School Network, which runs wine courses at all levels and offers professional qualifications, so this is a smaller, standalone tasting from a group that does the subject for a living. It's a good way to get a handle on the basics of pairing without committing to a full course.
