Drag comedy icon Bianca Del Rio brings her seventh solo stand-up tour, 'It Gets Bitter', to the Royal Concert Hall.
Bianca Del Rio is coming to the Royal Concert Hall on Saturday 3 April 2027, with her seventh solo stand-up tour, It Gets Bitter. If you've seen her before, you know the drill: she's a drag comedy icon who first hit the mainstream as the winner of season six of RuPaul's Drag Race. The New York Times once called her the 'Joan Rivers of the Drag World', and she calls herself the 'Clown in a Gown' — both a nod to the sharp, no-nonsense comedy she's built her name on.
It Gets Bitter marks 30 years in drag, three decades of hating everything you stand for. The show turns her tongue on the absurdities of modern life and pop culture, mixing tightly written stand-up with the quick-fire audience interaction that's become her trademark. She's known for her snarky frankness, impeccable timing, and for saying what everyone else is thinking, and she doesn't hold back when it comes to the people in the room. She's already warned that the front row is a 'firing squad' of biting insults, so if you're not in the mood to be the target, you might want to steer clear of the first few rows.
Offstage, she's Roy Haylock, but on stage she's the full Bianca Del Rio persona — the big hair, the sharp tongue, and the drag that's as much a part of the act as the jokes. It's a solo show, so it's just her up there for the whole thing, and the audience interaction is a huge part of what she does, rather than something she just dips into between bits.
