BHM 2026: An Evening Celebrating Black Entrepreneurship

B-Global are hosting an evening celebrating Black entrepreneurship at Himmah Hub on Thursday 29 October, from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. It's part of Black History Month 2026, and the whole night is about highlighting and celebrating Black business owners across Nottingham and the East Midlands. The room is meant to bring together entrepreneurs, business owners, students and community leaders, so it's as much about the people in the crowd as what's happening on stage.

The main draw is Scarlette Douglas, the TV presenter, property expert and entrepreneur you'll know from A Place in the Sun, Worst House on the Street and Can't Sell Must Sell. She's there for a spotlight interview followed by an interactive Q&A, so you'll get to hear her talk through her own experience and then ask your own questions. It's not just a presentation; the Q&A is open to the room.

There's a second side to the evening. Alongside the interview, B-Global are launching Start & Sustain, a business support programme they're delivering with East Midlands Chamber and supported by EMCCA. It's aimed at new and early-stage businesses, with the goal of helping them start, develop and thrive. If you're running something small or just thinking about it, that's the practical part of the night to keep in mind.

B-Global are presenting the evening with partners Let's Move Ltd, East Midlands Combined County Authority (EMCCA), East Midlands Chamber and Himmah Hub. Entry is free, and the venue is Himmah Hub, 37A Gregory Boulevard, Hyson Green, NG7 6BE. It runs from 6:00pm to 9:00pm on Thursday 29 October, and spaces are limited.
