Stand-up show 'Maverick' by comedian Aurie Styla, touring the UK, at the Theatre Royal in Nottingham.
Aurie Styla brings his new show MAVERICK to the Theatre Royal on Sunday 18 April 2027. It's part of a UK tour that runs to over 40 dates, and Nottingham is one of them. The show is an hour 50 minutes long with an interval, so you'll be in for a full evening rather than a quick set.
MAVERICK picks up where his previous tour, The Aurator, left off. This time he turns his attention to the things that usually stay in the background: his bad work-life balance, the influence of his family, his relationships, and his health. It's the kind of material that works because it's grounded in the everyday, and he's known for bringing a certain warmth to it. Critics have pointed to that combination of laughs and vulnerability, and the effortlessness of his style, as what sets him apart.
If you haven't come across him yet, he's a face you've likely seen on TV. He's appeared on Richard Osman's House Of Games (BBC), Comedy Central Live, Jonathan Ross' Comedy Club (ITV), Don't Hate The Playaz (ITV), and multiple seasons of The Stand-Up Sketch Show (ITV2). He also hosts the BBC Radio 4 show Tech Talk, which is returning for a second series. The industry has been taking notice too: he was selected as a New Face Of Comedy at the 2025 Just For Laughs Montreal festival and is set to debut at the 2026 Netflix Is A Joke Festival in Los Angeles.
