Alliance Tournament XXII Finals LIVE!

Alliance Tournament XXII is coming to Confetti X on Saturday 31 October and Sunday 1 November, and this time it's a live audience event. The finals are produced by Fenris Creations and their EVE_NT partners for the EVE Online community, and this edition is the first time the finals have been opened to players as a live studio audience rather than being watched remotely.

The tournament follows a Swiss-system preliminary round that cut 58 teams down to 16, who then face off in a double-elimination bracket: best-of-one matches until eight teams remain, then best-of-three, and finally a best-of-five Grand Final. Teams can field prize ships from previous tournaments, and an 'Avalanche Ban' system forces them to ban ships from their opponent's previous composition. A Challonge predictions contest runs alongside, rewarding the top ten bracket-fillers in PLEX.

Confetti X, an esports theatre at Nottingham Trent University, rounds out the setting with big screens, analysts and commentators live in the room, a bar and outdoor seating. It's at 15 Nile Street, Nottingham NG1 1AT. Doors open at 12:00 both days, with matches starting at 13:30 on Saturday and 13:00 on Sunday. Tickets are £10 plus fees per day, and each day is ticketed separately.
