Stand-up show by Al Murray, better known as The Pub Landlord, at Nottingham Playhouse.
Al Murray brings his new stand-up show, All You Need is Guv, to Nottingham Playhouse on Sunday 16 May 2027, with the curtain going up at 7.30pm. Most of us know him as The Guv, the self-styled Pub Landlord who's spent years playing the part of the quintessential British publican. He's a multi-award-winning figure in comedy, and The Daily Telegraph called him 'British comedy royalty' and 'a national treasure' after his ITV1 shows Happy Hour and A Second Audience With Al Murray The Pub Landlord.
All You Need is Guv follows a sold-out first leg across 2026, so this is part of the tour extending into 2027. He's returning with his signature 'Common Sense' hot-takes, the same persona he's built his career around. If you're planning on sitting right at the front, there's a 'Splash Zone' ticket option that comes with a tour poncho, a souvenir lanyard and exclusive digital content.
The reviews have been strong: the Mail on Sunday gave him five stars and called him a 'supremely polished performer', The Telegraph four stars and 'wickedly witty', and The Times described him as 'one of the great joys in comedy'. It's recommended for ages 16 and over, so keep that in mind if you're thinking of bringing anyone younger.
