Stand-up show by Abi Clarke, who recounts becoming a wrestler, a games night at Nicole Scherzinger's house and a breakup at a National Memorial.
Abi Clarke brings her comedy show Just Tell Me When It's Over to Nottingham Playhouse on Saturday 30 January 2027. It's a solo hour, and she's the only name on the bill.
Clarke is best known for her relatable, observational comedy, and she's often described as 'that one chaotic gremlin friend we all have'. The set draws on her own life, and it's a fair bit more personal than your standard stand-up. She talks about losing friends, losing her home, and, for a while, losing her ability to walk. From there, she recounts becoming a wrestler, attending a games night at Nicole Scherzinger's house, and being broken up with at a National Memorial. It's a strange mix of the heavy and the absurd, and the observational humour is what holds it together.
The reviews have been strong. The Scotsman called it 'compelling observational humour', The Independent described it as 'hilarious and relatable', and The Times noted her 'star quality'. If you're not familiar with her work, that's a good place to start: observational comedy that doesn't shy away from the messy parts of her own life.
