The Fratellis play The Nick Rayns LCR at the UEA to mark 20 years of their debut album 'Costello Music', with The Gulps, in a show for over-14s.
The Fratellis play The Nick Rayns LCR at UEA on Thursday 11 March 2027, with The Gulps supporting. The night is built around Costello Music, the debut album that first put the Glasgow trio on the map in the autumn of 2006. It was a record of catchy riffs and brash vocals, and it held the songs that most people know them by: 'Henrietta', 'Whistle for the Choir', and 'Chelsea Dagger'. It entered the UK Album Chart at number two and earned them Best British Breakthrough Act at the Brit Awards in 2007.
They didn't stay in that first gear for long. In 2009, the band took a four-year hiatus to pursue solo projects, returning in 2012. Since then, they've released six full-length studio albums, with Half Drunk Under A Full Moon arriving in May 2020 and landing a top-three chart position in their home country. A deluxe version followed in 2022, adding eight previously unheard tracks to the record.
