Standing soul show by the eight-piece British band Stone Foundation, with Rob Wilkes on the decks, at the Norwich Arts Centre.
Stone Foundation play Norwich Arts Centre on Friday 20 November, with Rob Wilkes on the decks. It's a standing gig, so you'll be on your feet for this one.
If you're not familiar, Stone Foundation are a British modern soul band whose roots go back to the early nineties, when Neil Sheasby and Neil Jones first met. They've spent over twenty-five years as an eight-piece outfit from the Midlands, putting out ten studio albums along the way. The guest list they've worked with is a long one: Paul Weller, Peter Capaldi, Bettye Lavette, William Bell, Nolan Porter, Graham Parker, Carleen Anderson, Mick Talbot, Kathryn Williams, Laville, Melba Moore, Hamish Stuart, and Dr. Robert from the Blow Monkeys. That's a fair bit of ground to cover, from soul and R&B to the more pop-leaning side of things, and it gives you a sense of the company they've kept over the decades.
