RSPB workshop on how to turn a balcony, courtyard, garden or window box into a home for wildlife.
RSPB are running their Giving Nature a Home workshop at The Atrium in The Forum, and it's one of several dates they've got lined up across the autumn. The one I'm looking at is Thursday 19 November, but if that doesn't suit, they're also there on Tuesday 13 October, Wednesday 14 October, Thursday 15 October, Saturday 7 November and Friday 20 November.
The whole thing is run by the RSPB, and the idea is pretty straightforward: they want to help you bring a bit more nature into whatever outdoor space you've got. They're not just talking about big gardens, either. The workshop is aimed at any outdoor spot, whether that's a balcony, a courtyard, a proper garden or even just a window box. The goal is to turn those spaces into something vibrant for both people and wildlife, so it works as well for a flat in the city centre as it does for a house with a back lawn.
What you'll get from the session are expert tips and tricks from the charity on how to actually make that happen. It's a practical sort of thing, so you'll walk away with concrete ideas for your own space rather than just general advice. If you've been wanting to do something more for the birds and bugs around your home but weren't sure where to start, this is a good place to pick it up.

The workshop runs from 9am to 5pm, so it's a full day's commitment. You'll find it at The Atrium, inside The Forum on Millennium Plain, Norwich, NR2 1TF. If the 19 November date doesn't work, you've got a fair few other options to choose from throughout October and November.
