Weekly writing session where members write, share and critique each other's work, with workshops by established writers, at the Millennium Library.
Norwich Forum Writers meet at The Forum on Friday 6 November, one of their regular morning sessions. They run on Fridays from 10.30am to 12.30pm, twice a month during term time between September and July, so it's a steady fixture in the city's writing calendar rather than a one-off. The sessions are held in the Norfolk and Norwich Millennium Library, on Millennium Plain, NR2 1TF.
It's a supportive, low-pressure group where members write, share, discuss and critique each other's work. The programme covers writing in all its forms, and every so often they bring in workshops led by established writers to shake things up. You don't need any previous writing experience to join in, so it's as much for someone just starting out as for someone who's been at it for years.
They've also put their members' work out into the world: the group has published two anthologies, Timepieces and Portals, and a third is currently in the works. It's a nice bit of proof that the sessions lead to something more than just a morning's work.

One thing to keep in mind: the group is currently fully booked, so you can't just turn up and jump in. If you want a place, you'll need to email the venue to get on the waiting list. When a spot does open up, it's £2 per session.
