Live show by Ezra Furman, whose tenth album 'Goodbye Small Head' blends punk energy with orchestral emo prog-rock, at The Halls.
Ezra Furman plays The Halls on Thursday 22 October, as part of a short run of UK solo shows. It's her first Norwich date since her return to the country, which saw her sell out two nights in a row at London's Union Chapel in 2024.
Furman is a boundary-breaking artist known for blending punk energy, heartfelt lyricism and genre-defying innovation. Last year she released her tenth album, Goodbye Small Head, which she describes as an orchestral emo prog-rock record sprinkled with samples, cinematic and intense — a friend called it 'the coolest movie soundtrack of 1997'.
That record sits alongside a decade of work that includes Perpetual Motion People (2015), Transangelic Exodus (2018), Twelve Nudes (2019) and All Of Us Flames (2022). Beyond her own albums, she also recorded the soundtrack for the Netflix series Sex Education.
