Robert Ashton talks with Patrick Barkham about our relationship with the land, followed by book sales and a signing, at The Forum.
Robert Ashton is at The Forum on Sunday 25 October, for a session titled Down to Earth. He'll be in conversation with Patrick Barkham, talking through our relationship with the land — the way we live with it, work it, and think about it. It's a dialogue rather than a lecture, so the two of them will be working their way through the subject together over the course of the hour.
When the talk finishes, there'll be book sales and a signing, so if you want a copy of Ashton's work, you can pick one up and get it signed in the same room. It's a good chance to hear him talk through his ideas and then take a copy home.
The session is part of the Norwich Book Festival, which runs from 24 to 31 October across the city. This particular one sits at the crossroads of popular science, non-fiction, history, heritage and nature, so it's as much about the land as it is about the people and the stories tied to it. If you're following the festival, it's one of the more grounded entries in the programme.

It runs from 3pm to 4pm on the Sunday, so it's a mid-afternoon thing rather than an evening one. Tickets are under £10.
