Dark Christmas: The Nightmare Before Christmas

The Nightmare Before Christmas is coming to Norwich Arts Centre on Monday 21 December, as part of the venue's Dark Christmas programme. It's a screening of the 1994 stop-motion film, and the whole series is billed as films by candlelight in a gothic church, so this one fits right into that mood.

If you've seen it, you know the story: Jack Skellington, the pumpkin king of Halloweentown, stumbles upon Christmas Town and decides to take over the holiday for himself, though he doesn't quite grasp how it's supposed to work. It's a 76-minute run, and it's rated PG, so it works as a family trip as much as a solo one.

It's not the only thing on the Dark Christmas bill, so if you're in the mood for more, there's Rare Exports and Gerard Logan's Visits from the Darkness as part of the same programme. This one falls just before Christmas Day, so it's a good way to get into the spirit a few days early.

The screening starts at 4:00 PM, and tickets go from £6.50 for supporters' concessions up to £8.50.
