An anarchic, unscripted Christmas panto by Newcastle improv comedy troupe The Suggestibles, where the audience helps create the festive tale on the fly.
The Suggestibles are back at Live Theatre for two nights this December, Thursday 17 and Friday 18, with Impro Pantso. It's their adults-only take on the Christmas panto, and since it's all improvised, the story changes every single night.
If you're not familiar, The Suggestibles are one of Newcastle's longest-running improv troupes. Impro Pantso is their festive musical, built on quick wit rather than a script. They make up the whole thing on the fly, taking the basic panto setup — goodies versus baddies — and filling in the gaps with suggestions from the audience. That means the plot, the daft songs, the kooky characters and the outrageous twists are all made up as they go, so no two shows are the same. The Guardian has called it one of the hottest comedy tickets in the Northeast, and it's billed as an anarchic Christmas cracker staged for two nights only.

It's an 18+ show, so keep that in mind if you're thinking of bringing the whole family — this is the adults-only version of the panto tradition. Both nights start at 7.30pm and run for about 90 minutes, and they're playing in the Main Auditorium at Live Theatre, 27-29 Broad Chare, NE1 3DQ. Tickets are £30.
