The all-female grunge tribute band Nirvanher delivers 90 minutes of raw Nirvana and Guns N' Roses music.
Nirvanher are playing The Globe on Saturday 28 November, with the night billed as Nirvanher + Bras N' Roses. It's a double-header of two of the biggest names in 90s grunge, Nirvana and Guns N' Roses, both covered by the same all-female line-up.
Nirvanher is the UK's all-female Nirvana tribute, and they're taking on the Kurt Cobain songbook. The set runs for about 90 minutes of raw, unapologetic grunge, so it's a fair chunk of the night dedicated to the Nirvana side of things. The second half of the bill, Bras N' Roses, brings in the Guns N' Roses material, meaning the two bands share the stage across the evening.
Between them, they'll be working through the catalogues of two bands that defined the era in very different ways: Nirvana's stripped-back, distorted sound and Guns N' Roses' more expansive, hard-rocking approach. Hearing them back-to-back from the same group of musicians is the main draw here, with the Nirvana set taking up the bulk of the running time.
